Paul Revere House

The Basics

Built in 1680, the unimposing wooden house at 19 North Square is the oldest house in downtown Boston. The 3-story building was the home of silversmith and Boston Patriot Paul Revere from 1770-1800 previously housing the parsonage of the Second Church of Boston.

The Beauty

The building can speak for itself...but did you know that when Paul Revere wasn’t smithing or dabbling in dentistry, the multitalented Paul Revere produced some of the era’s most sophisticated copperplate engravings, creating illustrations used in books, magazines, political cartoons, and tavern menus?
