Crowninshield (Little Brown's) Island!
The Basics
Crowninshield Island, also known as Brown's Island, is a small island off the shore of Marblehead MA. Since 1955 the Trustees of Reservations has maintained it and refers to it as Crowninshield Island, however "Brown's Island" is the name used by locals recalling the Brown family who sold the island to the Crowninshields for $1 (one dollar) in 1918.
The Beauty
Infinitely photographable from endless angles, a unique property of the island is the one can walk to it, twice a day when low tide reveals a pathway to the island!
